The organization says Director of Business Development Jeff Pipkin has been selected to serve as executive director on an interim basis. He succeeds Cinda Kelley-Hutchings, who has left to pursue other business interests.
Executive Board President Mike Baker says "we are sad to see her go, certainly, and we appreciate her years of service and her contributions to Hendricks County’s growth and development over the years. Her legacy here will long be remembered."
The organization says over the course of the eight years Kelley-Hutchings was in the position, the county has announced nearly 370 new or expanded businesses and more than 9,400 new jobs, representing investments of close to $1 billion.
Pipkin came to the HCEDP in 2013 and previously served as deputy director for the Morgan County Economic Development Corp. The Franklin College graduate is a Leadership Hendricks County board member and is treasurer of the Central Indiana Workforce Investment Board.
