The real estate developer says the Phase IV and V buildings will provide a combined 570,000 square feet of space at the Jeffersonville business park.
Financial details of America Place’s investment were not disclosed.
The buildings are part of America Place’s 150-acre Winner’s Circle campus at River Ridge. The developer says it has reached 100% leased capacity at the site, which led to the development of the new buildings.
“The River Ridge Development Authority couldn’t be more pleased to see our partners at America Place beginning construction of two new industrial spec buildings in the River Ridge Commerce Center,” said Devin Hillsdon-Smith, deputy director of the River Ridge Development Authority. “Given the amount of demand recently from end users looking to invest in new operations in our region, we are confident that the world-class team at America Place will deliver two buildings that won’t be on the market for long.”
The developer has tapped Kovert Hawkins in Jeffersonville and Whittenburg Construction in Louisville as the architect and general contractor for the projects, respectively. The buildings are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.
