A new co-working space opening today in Vigo County continues the formation of what tech leaders call the “Hoosier startup ecosystem.” Launch Terre Haute is designed for freelancers and startups and will collaborate with groups like Verge Indy, Launch Fishers and Launch Indiana in an effort to support entrepreneurship and innovation. In recent months, MatchBOX in Lafayette, LaunchPad in Goshen and The Station in Evansville have also opened. During an April interview on Inside INdiana Business Television, MatchBOX Co-Founder Jason Tennenhouse said co-working spaces foster collaboration among existing businesses and the entrepreneurial and educational communities. Tech Haute, which is spearheading tech efforts in the Wabash Valley, is organizing an open house that will run today from noon until 6 p.m.

The Indiana CoWorking Passport, announced earlier this week, will allow members of the program to utilize most of the coworking spaces in the state, including Launch Terre Haute.
