New Senior Living Community to Debut in Indy

An Illinois-based assisted living developer and manager is continuing to grow its Indiana footprint. Gardant Management Solutions will Thursday host a ribbon-cutting for a $23 million property in Indianapolis.
The company says Hellenic Senior Living is designed for seniors with financial need and will serve as a "wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home."
Each private apartment will include a kitchenette, bathroom and shower, individual heating and air conditioning units, emergency alert system and common areas featuring amenities such as an activity room, beauty salon/barber shop, convenience store, fitness room, library, café, TV lounges and theater room.
The company currently manages Belvedere Senior Housing in Merrillville, the Oasis at 30th in Indianapolis and Silver Birch of Hammond. Hellenic Senior Living of New Albany is currently set to open this winter. Other developments under construction are Evergreen Village at Bloomington, Glasswater Creek of Lafayette and the Silver Birch communities in Kokomo, Michigan City and Muncie.
The new Indianapolis property, which will employ more than 60 full and part-time associates, is set to open for residents in February.
