New Owner For Indiana Beach

California-based Apex Parks Group has acquired Indiana Beach Amusement Resort in Monticello. The company, which was founded in 2014, hopes to add more jobs at what it calls a "jewel of a resort."
The company also owns more than a dozen family entertainment centers and two water parks throughout the country.
“Indiana Beach is a fabulous addition for us. We are pleased to work with the park team and local community to grow this jewel of a resort in mid-state Indiana. We look forward to building upon the 90 year heritage of this park and providing families with a life time of great memories,” Apex Parks Group CEO Al Weber Jr. said.
Indiana Beach General Manager John Collins says they are excited about the opportunity.
Indiana Beach was previously owned by Morgan RV Resorts. The park opened in 1926. The amusement park is located on the banks of Lake Shafer in Monticello. The park features roller coasters, rides, zip lines, a water park and games. Indiana Beach also offers motel rooms, cabins, cottages and campsites.
Indiana Beach will be open Labor Day weekend and September 12, 13 and 19.
