Julie Heath, who previously served as a vice president with software as a service startup Boardable, succeeds Danielle McDowell as head of the coworking space and entrepreneurial organization. McDowell left in April.
Prior to Boardable, Heath was director of strategy & partnerships at the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts in Philadelphia. "When I relocated from Philadelphia to Indianapolis, I looked for a way to plug in to my new city,” she said. The Speak Easy was my point of entry. I joined a startup that I met through this community and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to this organization."
The Speak Easy says its members have launched over 170 companies from the spaces in Broad Ripple and downtown, creating some 1,500 jobs following "graduation." The organization says Heath, a Speak Easy member for nearly two years, will focus on deepening the level of programming and assistance to members.
