The president of Ivy Tech Community College in Anderson says construction on the new campus project is on schedule and set to open in August. James Willey says the project is also under budget. The school has already secured nearly half of the $4 million in matching funds it needs. A fundraising campaign committee is currently working to secure the remainder of the money.

The bulk of construction costs, $20 million, was locked in last year.

The city has three other locations and the new facilities will help deal with overcrowding and serve as the home of the business technology, public and social services, liberal arts and science schools.
