Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett has announced the hiring of Phyllis Boyd as director of Indy Parks and Recreation. She previously held the role of executive director of Groundwork Indy.

“Phyllis Boyd will be an excellent leader within our administration,” said Mayor Hogsett. “With a number of major park improvements and facility upgrades slated for the coming years, I look forward to working with Phyllis to enhance public greenspaces throughout Indianapolis and tighten the bonds between Parks and our neighborhoods.”

Boyd holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Indiana University and holds two master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
