New IHA Executive Director Appointed
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett has appointed John Hall executive director of the Indianapolis Housing Agency. Hall currently serves as the director of Wichita’s Housing and Community Services Department, which includes the Public Housing Authority.
“Indianapolis Housing Agency provides affordable housing and support services to thousands of residents, ensuring that we are meeting the critical needs of some of our city’s most vulnerable populations,” said Mayor Joe Hogsett. “After an extensive national search and careful deliberation by community stakeholders and city officials it is clear that John’s nearly two decades of experience leading housing organizations and building community can help to shape the future of IHA.”
Hall lead organizational reform and implemented affordable housing preservation in Wichita. He also previously worked with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as field office director for the District of Columbia field office and later the Richmond field office. Hall received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University. He begins his new role on March 4.
