New Hotel Already Seeing Impact

New Hotel Already Seeing Impact

The town of Whitestown says a new hotel is already contributing to the tourism industry in central Indiana. Officials will Wednesday cut the ribbon on the nearly $7 million Holiday Inn Express & Suites, which sold out in its first weekend of operation because of the Brickyard 400 and events at Grand Park in Westfield.

The four-story, 100-room hotel sits on more than two acres near the Allpoints at Anson business park in the Boone County town. After a successful first weekend, officials expect the hotel to sell out in advance of the 50th annual Gen Con in downtown Indianapolis next month.

Town officials say the hotel is still looking to fill jobs, including housekeeping and breakfast attendant positions. The ribbon cutting ceremony is set to begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.

I know this from experience – my mother was diabetic, and my wife has had Type I diabetes since she was 13 years old....
