New Hall of Fame Spotlights Small College Hoops

The 2016 Small College Basketball Hall of Fame event coincides with a new six-team tournament featuring NCAA Division II games taking place Friday and Saturday at the Ford Center.
The inductees include former NBA star players and coaches Phil Jackson of the University of North Dakota, Jerry Sloan of the University of Evansville, Willis Reed of Grambling State University and the "father" of the game, Dr. James Naismith.

Friday, November 18
Bellarmine vs. Alabama-Huntsville at 3:30 p.m.
Kentucky Wesleyan vs. Lincoln Memorial at 6 p.m.
Southern Indiana vs. Florida Southern at 8:30 p.m.
?Saturday, November 19
Lincoln Memorial vs. Alabama Hunstville at 3:30 p.m.
Bellarmine vs. Florida Southern at 6 p.m.
Southern Indiana vs. Kentucky Wesleyan at 8:30 p.m.
John McCarthy is founder of Small College Basketball, which is a business spearheading the games and the hall. The organization says it aims to use the hall, events and its online platform as a way to serve "a niche within college basketball" that will unite NCAA Division II and Division III, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA levels.
