Launch Cause will be a co-working space dedicated to nonprofits and social entrepreneurs. The new building is located in historic Lawrence Village near Fort Harrison State Park on the northeast side of Indy. The organization is expected to open in March. Launch Cause Executive Director Steven Shattuck says it was founded to help fellow nonprofits launch and accelerate their own missions.
“We want to do more than just give you a desk and a quiet place to work. We want to guide you through the process. We want to be a partner with you,” Shattuck said.
“So much has been done to advance the startup scene statewide, and there have never been more resources available to entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, emerging nonprofit organizations still don’t have a place to call home. We aim to fill that gap,” Launch Cause Co-Founder Jay Love said.
And they’re already getting positive feedback. Shattuck says nearly a dozen people are on the waiting list. The facility includes 14 offices, 21 semi-private work stations and co-working space for up to 30 people. For more information about Launch Cause click here.
Launch Cause Executive Director Steven Shattuck says the nonprofit co-working space will hold monthly “lunch & learn” sessions and weekly webinars for members.
