New CEO for First Harrison Bank
Corydon-based First Capital Inc. (Nasdaq: FCAP) is promoting Chris Frederick to president and CEO of First Harrison Bank. Frederick has been with the bank since 1990 and most recently served as chief financial officer.
Frederick will succeed William Harrod, who is retiring after 30 years in the role. Harrod will officially step down July 1.
“Since joining the Company in 1990, Chris has been a tremendous leader and partner as we have significantly grown in the communities we serve in Indiana and Kentucky,” Harrod said in a news release. “At First Harrison Bank, we believe that our culture is an essential component of our success, and our board of directors is looking forward to the future with Chris in this role as he is a great steward of our culture.”
The bank also announced Joshua Stevens will succeed Frederick as CFO. Stevens joined First Harrison in August 2022 after serving in multiple leadership roles at New Albany-based CPA firm Monroe Shine & Co. for 13 years.
“Josh has provided audit, tax, compliance, and consulting services to a wide variety of financial institutions for many years prior to joining our team,” Frederick said. “We believe that he will fit seamlessly with our team.”
