New CEO For Fairbanks, Hope Academy

Subscribe NowThe board of directors for Indianapolis-based nonprofit Fairbanks has named Barbara Elliott president and chief executive officer. Elliott, who joined Fairbanks in 2007 as chief financial officer, will lead the alcohol and drug treatment center, as well as Hope Academy in Indianapolis.
Fairbanks says Elliott will focus on implementing the organization’s strategic plan and developing partnerships within the community. Prior to joining Fairbanks, Elliott served in various roles with St. Vincent Health, Howard Community Hospital and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Indiana.
"Barb’s proven leadership and expertise will be of great value to Fairbanks and Hope Academy as we expand programming and services and identify opportunities to partner with other organizations," said Faraz Abbasi, board chairman for Fairbanks. "We have confidence that Barb will continue to grow the organization while staying true to our mission."
Fairbanks has been serving Indiana residents for more than 70 years. Hope Academy is a tuition-free public charter high school for students in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
