Daviess Community Hospital has named Justin Harris as its new CEO, beginning in July.
Harris most recently served as CEO of Evansville Surgical Associates, which has expanded over the past few years to include more than 26 surgeons and 20 mid-level providers serving all hospitals in the Evansville metropolitan area.
“Justin’s strong leadership experience, combined with his commitment to community-focused health care, makes him an excellent fit for Daviess Community Hospital,” April Settles, chief financial officer of Daviess Community Hospital, said in a news release. “We are excited to welcome him to our team and are confident that his vision and collaborative approach will strengthen our services and our mission to care for the people of Daviess County and beyond.”
Prior to joining the Evansville group, Harris served as CEO and CFO of Orthopaedic Institute of Southern Illinois and also held multiple C-suite roles with for-profit and nonprofit rural hospitals.
Harris will begin his new role July 1.
Based in Washington, Indiana, Daviess Community Hospital offers 48 inpatient beds, as well as seven specialty clinics and eight outpatient clinics. The hospital opened a new clinic in Dubois County in December and acquired Montgomery Medical Associates earlier this year.
The hospital, an affiliate of Ascension St. Vincent, also employs more than 600 people in the area.
