Fort Wayne, Ind. — As spring quickly approaches, so does the impending addition of teds market to the northwest side of Fort Wayne.

Located at the intersection of Union Chapel and Coldwater Roads, teds market plans to be up and running come mid-May, boasting a selection of simpler, better foods.

“We wanted to recreate the neighborhood market,” said Brian Hench, owner and baker. “At teds market you'll find a selection of quality food, but at the same time we're working on simplifying the shopping process. Customers will be able to stop in, quickly find what they're looking for, and know the food they're getting is quality. You won't find every size or brand of peanut butter here, but what you will find is a dedication to good, fresh food.”

teds market will feature its own sourdough breads, baked onsite, rotating entrees, made-to-order deli sandwiches, and a fully functioning caf? and coffee bar, all in addition to a well stocked assortment of ingredients, including seasonal fruits and vegetables, dry goods, and hand-carved meat.

“We're a one-of-a-kind place,” continued Hench. “teds market is an independent family-owned business, and that gives us a lot of freedom. We'll be able to change things up on a regular basis and have a variety of specials and seasonal offerings throughout the year.”

Construction is currently still underway at teds market in what was once the home of the Union Chapel Church, but as things begin to take shape Hench and his team have turned their focus to hiring the future staff of teds market.

“We're looking to add somewhere between 20 to 25 full and part-time jobs,” said Hench. “The people who work at teds market are expected to help set the tone for what will be a warm and welcoming atmosphere; they'll be knowledgeable, helpful, and dedicated to making our customers' shopping experience as enjoyable as possible.”
