River Ridge Commerce Center Executive Director Jerry Acy has been given the authority to negotiate the sale of two tracts of land which could generate $4.5 million in revenue for the Jeffersonville development. Names of the potential clients have not been released, but preliminary plans call for the construction of industrial facilities on both properties.
The two properties account for 45 acres of the business and office park with the sales price of $100,000 per acre. The River Ridge Development Authority says the two buildings would total approximately 650,000 square feet.
The RRDA says so far this year, River Ridge has announced eight potential land sales totaling approximately 200 acres for new development. The sales would generate approximately $19 million to support operations and continued development activity at River Ridge.
“It’s incredible to have this much interest in growth at River Ridge so early in the year,” said Acy. “Our pipeline of potential projects is as strong as it’s ever been.”
If the first-half of the year sales are completed, they would account for as much as 2.6 million square feet of new industrial real estate.
