National Recognition For National FFA CEO

The chief executive officer of the Indianapolis-based National FFA Organization has received a major industry honor. Dwight Armstrong has been named 2016 Agribusiness Leader of the Year by the National Agri-Marketing Association.
NAMA says it bestows its highest honor annually on a senior executive who "not only exemplifies excellence in agribusiness but has also made significant contributions to the industry."
The FFA says it has experienced "dramatic" growth in membership, National FFA Foundation donations and national convention attendance under Armstrong’s leadership. Last year, the organization marked a record year with nearly 630,000 students from more than 7,700 local chapters joining the ranks. Its annual convention surpassed the 65,000-attendee barrier, making it the largest student event in country.
The organization has a presence in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
