The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies in Indianapolis has announced Charles Chamness will step down in the fall of 2020. He has served as president and chief executive officer since 2003. Chamness will serve in an advisory role during the transition process after a successor is named. Before joining the organization, he served for 10 years in Washington, D.C. as deputy assistant secretary of public affairs under HUD Secretary Jack Kemp.
