MutualBank has named Ashley Hurd (pictured) loan counselor. She has more than seven years of experience in lending, Ashley brings technical knowledge of the lending process as well genuine interest in her customer’s short and long-term loan decisions. Ashley’s working repertoire of consumer lending includes home equity options along with mortgages and loan refinances. Hurd is a cheer commissioner for the Upward Sports Organization through Sunnycrest Baptist Church. The bank also promoted Tanya Malak to financial center manager at the Winchester MutualBank Financial Center. She previously served as service manager. Malak holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Elementary Education from Indiana University, Master’s courses in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and Grand Valley State University. Also, Jenny Butler has been named trust officer. She holds a Paralegal Certificate from IUPUI, Bachelor of Science from the University of Indianapolis, CTFA designation and completion of Comprehensive Wealth Management School. Charles Foust has been promoted to Broadway financial center manager in Muncie. He has eight years of military service, four years of banking experience with Mutual’s loss mitigation department and recently, as a relationship banker. Foust previously served as a unit collection manager for Sallie Mae. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Leadership from Capella University. Vicki Burley-Fannin has joined MutualBank as Gas City financial center manager. She is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Business and a graduate of Troyer Real Estate College with a degree in Real Estate Sales. The bank promoted Kevin Fautz financial center manager for the Portage location in South Bend. He previously served as service manager for the McKinley and Church Street financial centers. Fautz is a graduate of Indiana University South Bend and Purdue College of Technology. He is also a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement and serves on the South Bend Alumni Association Board of Directors. Scott Szucs is MutualBank’s first loan counselor in St Joseph County. To his new role, he brings more than six years of retail experience and customer relations while assisting clients with short and long-term loan decisions. Szucs volunteers at St. Margaret’s House, a day center for women and children. Chad Shelley (pictured) has been named assistant vice president. He brings more than 10 years of lending and commercial banking experience. Shelley is a graduate of Taylor University and a graduate of the Indiana Bankers Association Commercial Lending School. Also the bank named Chelsie Matchette financial center manager. She has been a team member for more than 10 years, managing the Wabash Financial Center since 2014.
