Yorktown-based Mursix Corp. has promoted Susan Carlock to vice president of business development & corporate relations. She will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and partner relationships in both domestic and international markets. Carlock has more than 20 years of business experience in the fields of human resources, corporate relations, safety/risk management and healthcare and wellness policy development. She joined Mursix in 2013, and has served in a variety of positions, most recently as director of human resources. Carlock s a member of Mursix’s senior staff and represents the company on various workforce development and training groups at the community and state level, including Conexus’ Intern and Hire Technology Programs.

Prior to joining Mursix, Carlock served in a variety of positions in the healthcare industry, including as director of nursing with Home Health Care Unlimited. She has also worked in the Emergency Department at St. Vincent Hospital and has entrepreneurial experience by way of assisting in the start-up of a hospital staffing company.

Carlock is a graduate of Marian University, from which she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She is also a registered nurse, a member of Women in Manufacturing, and is active in a variety of civic and economic development activities in both Hamilton and Delaware Counties.
