The funding will support expansion plans, including patient simulation equipment in the school's teaching laboratories. The gift marks the largest single donation ever made by the organization. Medical and Dental Staff President Don Henry says the donation allows the hospital to strengthen its relationship with the school and “help the next generation of physicians.” He says, as the medical school expands, the hospital will have more students rotating in.
The gift will be paid to the school over five years.
