The cash deal is valued at $11.7 million.
Allied manufactures pumps and gears for transmissions used in agricultural and construction equipment. Concentric says the acquisition will allow it to gain market share in the global transmission market.
“This range of pumps can also be adapted to be driven electronically, and therefore accelerate our growth in the strategically important CO2 neutral Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Hydrogen Fuel Cell (HFC) vehicle and machine markets,” said David Woolley, chief executive officer of Concentric.
Allied, which works with OEMs and remanufacturing suppliers, was founded in 1982 by CEO John Miller. Concentric says Miller will remain with the company in an advisory capacity to help with the transition process over the first three quarters of 2021.
