Muncie man inducted into White Castle’s Cravers Hall of Fame

An east central Indiana resident is among more than a dozen people to be inducted into White Castle’s Cravers Hall of Fame, the fast-food chain announced this month.
White Castle established the hall of fame in 2001 to “recognize its most zealous fans,” which this year includes Robert Donati of Muncie.
Donati says he and his friends have been enjoying White Castle’s sliders before they even knew what they were called.
“We took any excuse to stop and order a bag full of those uniquely delicious smelling sandwiches,” Donati said. “Whether it’s my faithful Friday lunch with my old friend, a date with my college girlfriend, or a huge casserole of our, “secret Slider” dressing on Thanksgiving…I find any reason to ‘Slider down.'”
Donati and his friends have even gone so far as to establish “Craver Chapter 834,” which aims to “promote the Slider ‘experience’ to any skeptic who may have overlooked the steamed bun, hamburger, pickle, and onion delicacy.”
The inductees were officially recognized last week at White Castle’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Last year, Stuart Cundiff of Columbus was inducted into the Cravers Hall of Fame, along with the city of Whiting.
