Whitinger has offices in Muncie and Fishers and says Greene Inc.’s clients are mainly in east central Indiana. Whitinger & Co. Managing Member Linn Crull says "a merger with Greene, Inc. is another step in fulfilling our strategic initiatives including our commitment to provide exceptional service and value for our clients. By combining our two highly complementary organizations and leveraging our talented teams, we’ll capitalize on new growth opportunities with current and future clients. We will become an even more valuable resource to a wide range of clients seeking traditional accounting services as well as an innovative mix of specialized services and business consulting acumen."
The combined company will include nearly 40 staff members.
Owner Merrill Greene says the firm’s "next logical step" is merging with "a highly respected firm that would enable us to expand services to our clients and opportunities for our team members. Our clients can look forward to working with a growing firm while keeping the value, local points-of-contact and exceptional client service to which they’ve become accustomed."
Whitinger says it will operate the merged firm from three offices until next spring: Greene’s Muncie office at 708 W. White River Blvd. and Whitinger’s offices at 1100 W. White River Blvd. in Muncie and 8411 Fishers Centre Drive in Fishers.
