The Muncie-Delaware County Economic Development Alliance will deliver a progress report on its “Vision 2016” effort Tuesday in Muncie. The presentation will focus on promoting job growth and investment through Tax Increment Financing. Vision 2016 is Muncie's five-year economic development program, which began in 2011. The effort aims to create 2,000 “primary income jobs” with a total annual payroll of more than $66 million.

According to the alliance's website, Vision 2016's objectives are:

Expansion and retention of existing businesses

New business attraction
