Multiple Mayors Fall in Primaries

They include Columbus Mayor Kristen Brown, who lost to Republican challenger Jim Lienhoop. In Indianapolis, Democrat Joe Hogsett and Republican Chuck Brewer were nominated for November's mayoral election. In all, eight sitting mayors lost their primary races. In addition to Brown in Columbus, the mayors of Delphi, Garrett, Lake Station, Lebanon, Martinsville, Mitchell and Rochester were defeated.
Democrat Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry was re-nominated in the state's second-largest city. He will run against Republican Mitch Harper in November.
