Big Defense Contracts Awarded to Indiana Manufacturers

Rolls-Royce Corp. in Indianapolis has secured a nearly $17.6 million modification to a contract involving engines and components and Raytheon Co. in Fort Wayne will provide work including sensor electronics and antenna technology as part of a more than $14 million contract
The Rolls-Royce contract calls for procurement of engines, power section modules and reduction gearbox modules for E-2D Advanced Hawkeye tactical early warning aircraft for the U.S. Navy. The work is expected to be complete in September of next year.
Raytheon in Allen County will will work on tasks involving risk-reduction activities involving early system-level integration, modifications to existing sensor electronics technology, antenna solutions and integration prototyping. The contract runs through March of 2020.
