Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP’s John Moriarty has been elected to the Keep Indianapolis Beautiful board of directors. He will serve a three-year term. Moriarty has served on the KIB Finance Committee for the past four years. KIB supports community improvement projects and volunteers, and partners with neighborhoods, the public sector, and community groups and businesses to keep Indianapolis’ public spaces vibrant and thriving. Moriarty is a partner at Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP and represents clients in the insurance coverage, litigation and environmental practice areas. His insurance coverage work includes multiple matters concerning cleanups arising from gasoline stations and dry cleaning operations, and he is well versed in the IDEM’s Underground Storage Tank Program’s rules, laws and policies. He has successfully prosecuted administrative appeals with Indiana’s excess liability trust fund to clean up contaminated petroleum sites. Additionally, Moriarty serves on the PSRB Management Committee, as well as the St. Thomas More Society of Indianapolis Board. He has also served as a past chair and treasurer of the Environmental Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association.
