After more than two years as executive director of the Morgan County Economic Development Corp., Chelsey Manns has resigned. In a statement, Manns said "I truly love this job and the work we have accomplished, but the greatest job of all has given me the best offer: motherhood."
The organization’s executive committee says the search to replace Manns is already underway. MCEDC President Terry Brock says "we are disappointed to lose Manns, but appreciate the time she has given us. I have been involved with the MCEDC for several years and believe the proactive approach we have taken to Economic Development is positive for the entire county."
Manns said "I would like to thank the Board of Directors, the elected and appointed officials, and the businesses I have worked with over the last few years. Morgan County is a wonderful place to live, work, and play."
Prior to joining the MCEDC, the University of Indianapolis graduate worked for Plainfield-based Banning Engineering PC.
