In a notice to the state, the company says nearly 150 employees will be let go later this summer.
The layoffs are scheduled to occur between July 20 and August 3, and are expected to be permanent. The affected employees are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights.
The announcement follows a similar one last August in which Deufol said approximately 250 employees would be let go. A spokesperson for Deufol tells Inside INdiana Business that round of layoffs was due to the loss of its largest customer.
The spokesperson says the company has been unable to obtain new business to replace that loss and the new round of layoffs is due to a continued decline in operational needs.
