Mooresville Moves Forward with Shell Building

The Mooresville Redevelopment Commission will move forward with plans to construct a 75,000-square-foot shell building, that it says will be expandable to 225,000 square feet. The commission aims to use the project to boost economic development and attract investors.
The shell building will be constructed the northwest corner of SR 67 and Merriman Road.
The partnership says it aims to break ground on the project this fall.
“The Commission has thoughtfully approached this project and we’re pleased to see it come to fruition,” Commission President Harold Gutzwiller said in a news release. “We believe Mooresville and Morgan County are prime for development and adding this shell building to our marketing efforts will add one more asset to promote.”
