The agency says adjusted gross revenue was $174.7 million, compared to $152.3 million during the same period in 2014. It marks the second consecutive monthly increase. During an interview last month with Inside INdiana Business, Indiana Gaming Insight Publisher Ed Feigenbaum said the increase may not necessarily represent improving conditions.
He expects an increase in the first couple of months of the year because of severe weather that plagued the state and industry in December 2013 and the early part of last year.
Only two of the state's 13 gaming venues decreased last month, compared to the same month a year ago.
Ameristar Casino in East Chicago, Horseshoe Casino Hammond and Indiana Grand Racing and Casino registered the state's largest increases.
Revenue at the Majestic Star in Gary and the Rising Star in Rising Sun were virtually unchanged last month.
