The Indiana Gaming Commission says monthly casino revenue ticked down in October. The agency reports adjusted gross revenue was $177 million, compared to $184.5 million in the same period last year. East Chicago's Ameristar Casino, again reported the state's highest revenue increase. It took in $18.9 million last month, compared to $14.4 million last year.

Tropicana Evansville also edged up with an adjusted gross revenue of more than $9 million, an increase from $8.3 million in October 2013.

Indiana Grand Racing and Casino in Shelbyville, one of the state's two racinos, recorded monthly revenue of just over $19.9 million, up from $17.8 million last year at this time. Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson took in $15.9 million in October, down from from $17.1 million. Racinos have been approved by the state to take a 8.5 percent deduction each month.

The Blue Chip Hotel Casino Spa in Michigan was among the handful reporting monthly revenue gains, earning $13.1 million, compared to $12.2 million.

French Lick Casino ended October nearly unchanged from the same period in 2013, reporting adjusted gross revenue of around $5.9 million.

Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg once again recorded one of the highest percentages of decrease in Indiana. Last month, it took in more than $14.1 million, compared to $19.2 million in October 2013.

Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino in Elizabeth decreased to $19.1 million in October, from $21.4 million last year.

Horseshoe Casino Hammond reported AGR of nearly $36.8 million last month, which is down from $40.9 million during the same period last year.

Rising Star in Rising Sun reported $3.7 million in adjusted gross revenue last month, which was down from $5 million in October 2013.

Belterra Casino in Florence was off slightly to $9.3 million from $10 million.

The Majestic Star and the Majestic Star II in Gary both cited decreases of approximately $1 million last month, compared to October 2013.
