Monthly Gaming Revenue Climbs

The agency says adjusted gross revenue was $182.7 million, compared to $177.3 million during the same period a year earlier. It marks the first increase since May and only the second in 2014. In all, 10 of the state's 13 gaming venues registered increases or remained unchanged.
East Chicago's Ameristar Casino marked the largest increase. It reported AGR of $18.9 million last month, compared to $16.2 million a year earlier.
Revenue at the Blue Chip Hotel Casino Spa in Michigan City rose to $13.1 million from $11.7 million.
Tropicana Evansville's revenue of was more than $9.8 million, up from $9 million in December 2013.
Indiana Grand Racing and Casino in Shelbyville's monthly revenue exceeded $20 million, compared to $19.2 million during the same period the previous year. Hoosier Park Racing and Casino in Anderson took in $16.1 million in December, a slight increase from $15.7 million in 2013. Racinos receive an 8.5 percent tax deduction.
French Lick Casino reported December adjusted gross revenue of $5.9 million, down from $5.3 million in the same month in 2013.
Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino in Elizabeth increased to nearly $21.7 million last month from $21 million in the year previous.
Horseshoe Casino Hammond reported AGR of $35.8 million, compared to $35.1 million during the same period in 2013.
The Majestic Star in Gary ticked up slightly to $7.2 million, compared to $7.1 million in December of the previous year.
Revenue at Rising Star in Rising Sun was virtually unchanged last month compared to the same period in 2013.
Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg decreased to $16 million from $17.1 million.
Belterra Casino in Florence dipped to $9.1 million from $10.2 million.
The Majestic Star II in Gary edged down to $5.4 million in December, compared to $5.5 million one year earlier.
