Missouri Company to Close Seymour Plant

Missouri-based Pretium Packaging LLC has announced plans to permanently close its facility in Seymour. In a notice to the state, the company says the closure is expected to begin in May and will result in the layoffs of 55 employees.
Pretium says employees will be laid off in three phases beginning May 29 and ending September 11. The plant is expected to be completely closed by September 30.
The company says the employees are not represented by a union and there are no bumping rights. The employees will receive a separate notification of the closure, if they haven’t already received one, according to Pretium.
Pretium Packaging has 12 plant locations in the U.S. and Canada. The company makes plastic container and closure products for various markets, including food, household cleaning, and personal care.
