Applications are being accepted for the 2016 Mira Awards. The awards, presented by TechPoint, celebrate the best in tech in Central Indiana each year.
TechPoint says the purpose of the Mira Awards is to celebrate the state’s tech success stories and "amplify them to media, investors and technology buyers nationwide." Some of the categories for this year’s awards include Investor of the Year, Rising Star Award, Best New Tech Product, Innovation of the Year and Tech Company of the Year.
The company is accepting applications for the awards in January, followed by a judging process in February and a "Meet the Nominees" event in March. An awards ceremony in April, known as the "Oscars for Tech," will follow.
Last year, Edwin the Duck, produced by pi labs in Carmel, took home the Mobile Tech Award. The founders of pi labs spoke with Inside INdiana Business at the awards ceremony, which you can view by clicking here.
