Mind Trust Hosting Charter School Summit

The event will feature presentations by former TODAY host Jane Pauley and Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and author David McCullough.
The summit will also feature a School Design Competition, which involves 12 teams from throughout the United States presenting charter school models. Organizers say the winning team will receive $50,000 to further develop their proposal and apply for one of The Mind Trust’s four $250,000 grants to support new charter schools in Indianapolis. The winners will be interviewed by Pauley, who is also a Mind Trust board member.
The Charter School Innovation Summit is set for Tuesday, April 5 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the school design competition at Indiana Landmarks. At noon, Emmis Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: EMMS) Chief Executive Officer Jeff Smulyan will speak at an Innovation Luncheon. McCullough and Pauley will take part in the closing dinner at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.
