The facility is the result of more than $330,000 in donations from individuals, Indiana’s credit unions and their business partners.
The IMVHOF organization broke ground on the building in September 2016. The land was donated by the American Legion Department of Indiana Headquarters. The hall of fame honors Hoosiers from all branches of the United States Armed Forces "who demonstrate outstanding military and civilian service."
The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and will feature remarks from Senator Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Lawrence Mayor Steve Collier, and State Representative John Bartlett (D-95).
Meanwhile, the nonprofit is calling for nominations for its fifth class of inductees, which will be accepted through August 1. You can find more information by clicking here.
