Military Contract for Flexible Storage System Maker

South Bend-based GTA Containers Inc. has been awarded a $9.5 million contract from the U.S. Air Force. The company has been tapped to build collapsible fuel tanks.
The contract is an extension of a previously-awarded $24 million order. The Department of Defense says all the work will be performed in South Bend with an estimated completion date of January 2022.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity.
