Milhaus Adding 250 Indy Jobs

Real estate company Milhaus has announced plans to expand its Indianapolis headquarters and create up to 250 jobs by 2020. The company says it will invest more than $1.6 million to accommodate growing demand.
Milaus owns Milhaus Development, Milhaus Construction, Milhaus Management and Ineo. The company says the investment in the Fletcher Place neighborhood shows its commitment to growing transitional neighborhoods. Milhaus is reporting revenue growth of more than 650 percent over the last three years.
The company’s Indiana portfolio includes Indianapolis and Carmel properties such as Artistry, Mozzo and Penn Circle. It also has properties in Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Chief Executive Officer Tadd Miller says the company’s goal is to have 20,000 units worth $4 billion in 10 markets by 2020. He says, while those numbers are "lofty," it’s possible the company will exceed those levels at its current pace.
Milhaus says it will hire for management, information processing, finance, administrative support, transaction processing and sales and marketing positions. The company says the jobs will pay average wages above the state and county averages. It currently has 116 full-time employees in Indiana and 28 more throughout the Midwest.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered Milhaus up to $2.3 million in conditional tax credits and training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. The city of Indianapolis is also supporting the project.
