Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum Founder Roselyn McKittrick has died. WRBI reports she passed away at the Ripley Crossing Nursing Home after a short illness. She was 84. 

McKittrick started a partial museum in her antique store, Milan Station Antiques that became what is now known as the  Milan ’54 Hoosiers Basketball Museum which opened in 2013.

As Milan museum’s curator McKittrick traveled to events and fundraisers to keep the museum going. She was known for supporting many local schools, organizations, churches and events. She also spent many hours taking local residents to doctor visits and visiting them when ill.  

She is survived by three children, five grandsons and three great grandsons.

A Celebration of Life will be held March 23, at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milan. Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home of Milan is handling the arrangements.
