A central Indiana-based, family-owned car wash chain with dozens of locations in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky has announced a reorganization plan. Our partners at WTHR-TV in Indianapolis report Mike's Carwash Chief Executive Officer Bill Dahm and Vice President of Operations Mike Dahm will split the company into two units later this year. Bill will run locations in Indianapolis, Lafayette, Kokomo, Terre Haute, Anderson and Columbus, which will be rebranded as Crew Carwash.

Mike will head up Evansville, Fort Wayne, Mishawaka and out-of-state operations and keep the Mike's name.

The company was founded in the late-1940s by Bill and Mike's father, Joe. It currently employs 750 workers.

The Dahm brothers call the reorganization “friendly” and say they have been working with consultants that specialize in business succession planning for months.
