Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report the $10 million emergency room project on the Northlake Campus in Gary could be complete in a year.
The building partner, Skanska USA, is set to hold an event Monday designed to inform potential subcontractors about the bidding process for work at Northlake.
The project is just one piece of a 10-year, $134 million improvement program at the major Gary and Merrillville facilities. Plans include a new medical office building at the Southlake Hospital, which will receive a more than $100 million share of the total effort.
Financing approvals are still needed before the Southlake project proceeds.
