Fort Wayne-based MetalX on Monday announced a series of changes to its executive leadership. Among them, the aluminum recycling and processing company has promoted Stan Gish to the role of CEO.
Gish succeeds MetalX co-founder Neal Rifkin, who will remain with the company as president. Gish most recently served as president and chief operating officer for MetalX’s Ohio-based aluminum slab business, MMX Aluminum.
Before being named to the MMX Aluminum position last September, Gish served as vice president of operations for Tri-Arrows Aluminum Inc. in Louisville and also held numerous leadership roles at Logan Aluminum in Russellville, Kentucky.
Additionally, Doug Forbes has been appointed chief operating officer for MetalX.
“These leadership changes mark a pivotal moment in our journey,” Rifkin said in a news release. “We are building on a legacy that my dad and I started together, and I know he would be proud of where we are headed. With the right people in the right roles, we’re well-positioned to continue growing and delivering value for our partners, our team, and the communities we serve.”
MetalX is continuing to develop the $300 million MMX Aluminum facility in Ohio, which is slated for completion in 2027. When complete, the project is expected to create about 180 jobs.
