Meridian Health Services Hires Director of Finance

MUNCIE, IN—Meridian Health Services announced today that Scott Riggs has been named the new Director of Finance. Mr. Riggs is an accomplished Accountant with more than 10 years of experience in audit and tax, working with healthcare and other non-profit organizations of all sizes.

“Mr. Riggs’ background and specialized knowledge in healthcare makes him a great fit for Meridian,” said Kirk Shafer, CFO, Meridian Health Services. The Director of Finance is a new position for the quickly expanding Meridian Health Services and will be responsible for supervising accounting, revenue cycle and business office, and facilities.

Mr. Riggs leaves a Senior Auditor position with Blue and Company in Indianapolis to join the Meridian team. Mr. Riggs received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Ball State University and says he is excited to be back in Muncie. His first day at Meridian will be June 1.
