Nonprofit mental health provider Wabash Valley Alliance has named Thomas Gilliom chief executive officer. Gilliom has been with the Lafayette-based organization since 2008, most recently serving as chief operating officer.
He succeeds Rick Crawley, who has led the alliance since 2003. He will remain with the nonprofit, overseeing special projects.
Gilliom holds degrees from Ball State University and Ohio State University. He has worked in the mental health field for nearly 40 years. He says his main focus will be to continue to push the organization’s belief that "all people deserve compassion and respect and that recovery is possible as well as unique for each individual."
Wabash Valley Alliance has 17 counseling and care sites in eight Indiana counties.
