Michigan-based Meijer Inc. will hold a hiring event Tuesday in Indianapolis in an effort to fill more than 200 positions at its new McCordsville store. The company says it is looking for candidates in all departments of the store, which is set to open this spring.

The hiring event will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Garrison Conference Center and Golf Course in Indianapolis. Those interested can walk in, apply for the positions and be interviewed. 

Some of the available positions include clerks, cake decorators, cashiers and meat cutters. Meijer says starting pay for each position will be based on experience level and specific skills.
