McShane’s in Munster Merges

Munster-based McShane’s Inc. has announced a merger. The office products dealer says the partnership with Des Plaines Office Equipment in Illinois brings "significant additional resources and technology" to the firm.
McShane’s President Brian McShane says the deal brings "considerable additional resources to the table," specifically in the areas of information technology and additional product lines. He says Des Plaines has a "well-known and well-respected presence in our market."
The Munster company was founded in Hammond in 1921, and now has 43 employees. Des Plaines has been serving the greater Chicago area since 1955.
McShane’s says there will be no "immediate or apparent changes" to its operations as a result of the merger. Brian McShane will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer, and the company’s name and location will remain the same.
