McGuire Sponsel has promoted Chelsea Carr (pictured) to senior manager for the RD Tax Credit practice. She has been with the firm in R&D since 2012. Carr also plays a large role in employee training and recruiting, ensuring staff is well aligned with the firm’s goals. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Butler University.

David Seibel has been promoted to senior manager in the R&D Tax Credit practice. He is an enrolled agent, which enables him to represent clients in audit defense cases with the Internal Revenue Service. Seibel previously worked for an industrial furnace company and an electro-mechanical company designing prototype power converters for coal haulers in the mining industry. He earned a degree in the mechanical engineering program at the University of Notre Dame.

Ben Waltz has been promoted to senior manager for the R&D Tax Credit Practice. He joined the firm in 2014 and previously worked in real estate accounting and earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from IUPUI.

Also, Justin Wood (pictured) has been promoted to senior manager for the Cost Segregation practice. In his new role, he leads the production process for the cost segregation team. Wood’s prior experience in the construction field has equipped him with the technical knowledge to identify depreciable assets. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana State University.
